Grow food with nature – Permaculture with Sepp Holzer

In a place where the average temperature is around 4.2ºC Sepp Holzer grows everything from apricot, eucalyptus and fig to Kiwi and peaches. All of this at an altitude of between 1,000 and 1,500 meters above sea level.
”Once planted, I do absolutely nothing,” ”It’s really just nature working for by itself – no weeding, no mowing, no watering, no fertilizer, no pesticides,” – Sepp Holzer.

Today that method is called Permaculture, but is actually just about to grow with nature instead of against nature.
Holzer says that success started when he realized that he must go away from everything he had learned in school about cultivation. He started a new way to observe and mimic natural systems instead of trying to control them.
