Several rebel groups in northwestern Syria are backed by Turkey. Seeing how they operate they very much act as IS terrorists. A Syrian soldier was recently decapitated by a group of these rebels. The decapitated head was posted on the soldier facebook page via the dead soldier’s phone. One of the rebels posted a video talking in German. A large part of these so called rebels belong to Tahrir Al Sham that was founded by Al Qaida members. Because of Turkish backing these rebels can hold large parts of northwestern Syria despite of fighting against the Syrian army that are supported by Russia.
